4 People to get to do Social Media for your Business

Many small business owners know the importance of social media to grow their business. However, a major hurdle is time. Entreneurs like yourself are focusing on your busy and the marketing side especially social media marketing sometimes gets little or no attention. Here are four people you can get to lead your social media strategy.

1. Hiring an expert. This may be the easiest method to solve your dilemma of keeping your social media running. It’s also an expensive way of doing it.

2. Internship student. This may be a great solution if you are really tight on funds (which the average entrepreneur is!) You can write a post on Craigslist or Kijjijji or simply contact a high school that may have an internship program. The student benefits because they are getting an opportunity to get hands-on training at a business and you benefit by having more time to focus on running your business. The only real drawback is that you may have to learn a bit about social media in order to train them.

3. Using an employee. While you are the main heart and soul of your business, you may have a few employees. How about delegating the social media responsibility to someone that already work for you? If you have that luxury, this may be a great idea because that employee knows your business and the industry meaning you don’t have to train them. All they need to do is simply get their feet wet by using the preferred social media platform(s) that may benefit your business.

4. Do it yourself. Yes, you may be extremely busy, however, the person that knows your business better than anyone else is: You. Squeezing in an hour a day learning social media and it’s facets might be a great way of expanding your business without delegating the marketing side to someone else.

The plus is that you will be learning social media and become an expert. You can even parlay your experience to another business venture by consulting other small businesses (of course outside your local area) about social media marketing.
